Do I need a licence or ticket to hire a digger?
No licence is legally required on private land, but machines are hired self-drive to competent operators. If you're working on a commercial site, your principal contractor will usually require a CPCS or NPORS ticket.
How much is plant hire per day?
Rates depend on the machine, the hire length and the delivery distance. Call or email us with the job and dates and we'll give you a clear all-in price.
What's included with a mini digger hire?
A full fuel tank, a set of buckets (typically 12in, 18in and grading), a certified quick hitch and a handover on delivery.
Do you deliver, or can I collect?
Both. We deliver across Cambridgeshire, and smaller items such as compaction plates can be collected from our Peterborough yard by prior arrangement.
How far in advance should I book?
A week is comfortable in busy months, but we often have machines available the same or next day, it's always worth calling.
Am I responsible for damage or theft?
Yes. Hirers are responsible for the plant while on hire and should have plant hire insurance in place. We can point you towards providers if you need cover.
Do you hire for longer periods?
We do. Weekly, monthly and contract rates are available, with servicing arranged around your programme.
What if the machine breaks down?
Call us straight away. Genuine mechanical faults are our problem, we'll repair or swap the machine and credit lost hire time.
